seismic activity isn't that much more or anything... it's just that people are living in areas which weren't inhabited in the past... and that there are more instruments and reports everywhere..

but then, maybe there is increase in seismic activity coz of a certain walking disaster techtonic plate breaker

that's in the original myth actually...

only thing is that Medusa was turned into stone because Perseus used his mirrored shield to reflect her image back at the gorgon
